User Friction
Identify sessions where visitors hit roadblocks or got stuck.
The User Friction card highlights sessions where visitors experienced difficulty interacting with your companion. A donut chart shows the overall friction rate -- the percentage of sessions where at least one roadblock was detected.
Friction Types
Each friction type is shown with its own percentage:
| Friction Type | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Clarification Loops | The visitor had to re-explain their question multiple times |
| Repeated Questions | The visitor asked the same thing again, suggesting the first answer was unclear |
| User Corrections | The visitor corrected your companion's response |
| Task Abandonment | The visitor left the conversation before their goal was achieved |
How to Use This
- High Clarification Loops suggest your companion needs better intent detection or more specific training content.
- Frequent Repeated Questions often mean responses are technically correct but not clear enough -- consider adjusting your companion's response style.
- User Corrections indicate accuracy issues -- review the failing topics and update your training resources.
- Task Abandonment is the most critical signal. Check Failure Analysis and Chat Sessions to find the conversations where users gave up.
