Switching Modes

Changed your mind about which mode to use? No problem. You can switch between Creator Mode and Explore Mode whenever you want, and it only takes a couple of clicks.

How to switch

Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner of the header. This opens the profile dropdown.

Click the switch button

Near the bottom of the dropdown, you'll see either Switch to Creator Mode or Switch to Explore Mode (depending on which mode you're currently in). Click it.

You're switched!

Aura will update your mode immediately and redirect you:

Switching to Explore Mode — You'll land on the Explore page.
Switching to Creator Mode — You'll land on your Home page.

What changes when you switch

When you switch modes, the features you see change — but your data stays the same.

Switching to Explore Mode

The sidebar changes to show Explore, Collections, History, and Updates.
You lose access to the Dashboard, Wallet, companion building tools, and Insights.
Your companions and data are still there — you just can't see the creator tools.

Switching to Creator Mode

The sidebar changes to show Home, Dashboard, Wallet, and Updates.
You get access to companion building, analytics, insights, and billing.
You can still browse companions through your home page and companion links.

Switching modes doesn't delete anything. Your account, your companions, your collections, your chat history — everything stays exactly where it is. The only thing that changes is which set of tools and pages you can see.

You can switch as many times as you like. There's no limit and no waiting period.
