Using the Documentation

How to navigate the help center and use Ask AI.

You're reading the Aura documentation right now! Here's a quick guide to finding your way around.

The left sidebar organizes all documentation into four main sections:

  • Getting Started -- an introduction to Aura, signing in, choosing your mode, and a quick-start guide
  • Creator Mode -- everything about building and managing companions, uploading resources, your dashboard, insights, wallet, and billing
  • Explore Mode -- discovering companions, chatting, saving favorites, collections, and chat history
  • Common -- features available to everyone regardless of mode (you're in this section now)

Click any section to expand it and see the pages within. Click a page title to navigate to it.

At the top of the sidebar, there's a search bar. Type any keyword and results will appear instantly, showing matching page titles and content snippets from across all sections. Click a result to jump directly to that page.

Ask AI

The Ask AI button opens a chat interface where you can ask questions about Aura in natural language. It searches through the documentation and gives you answers with source links so you can verify and read more.

To open Ask AI:

  • Click the Ask AI button in the docs interface, or
  • Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + / (or Cmd + / on Mac)

Ask AI is great for questions like:

  • "How do I change my password?"
  • "What are credits used for?"
  • "How do I share a companion?"

It'll pull the relevant information from the docs and give you a concise answer with links to the full pages.

Table of contents

On the right side of each documentation page, you'll see a table of contents that lists all the headings on the current page. Click any heading to jump directly to that section. This is especially helpful on longer pages.

Tips for finding what you need

  • Use search if you know a keyword -- it's the fastest way to find specific topics
  • Browse the sidebar if you're exploring -- the sections are organized by what you're trying to do
  • Ask AI if you have a question and aren't sure where to look
  • Check the table of contents on long pages to jump to the right section
