Guided Tours

Interactive walkthroughs that show you around Aura, step by step.

Aura includes built-in guided tours — interactive walkthroughs that highlight different parts of the screen and explain what everything does. They're a great way to learn the platform without reading a manual.

First-time onboarding

When you first sign in to Aura as a Creator, you'll see a Start Tour button in the top-left area of the header. This is the onboarding tour — a complete walkthrough that introduces you to the key parts of the platform.

Click Start Tour to begin. The tour will highlight different elements on the screen one at a time, with short explanations of what each one does. Just follow along and click through each step.

Dismissing the onboarding prompt

If you're not ready for the tour right now, hover over the Start Tour button and you'll see a small close icon appear. Click it to get two options:

  • Remind me later — The prompt will disappear and come back after a day.
  • Don't show again — The prompt won't appear again. You can still replay the tour manually (see below).

The Guides dropdown

Once you've completed (or dismissed) the onboarding tour, the Start Tour button transforms into a Guides button. Click it to open a dropdown with all available tours.

The dropdown is organized into sections:

This Companion

When you're on a companion's page (like their profile, insights, or conversations), you'll see tours specific to that companion listed under "This Companion." The tour for the page you're currently on is highlighted with an indigo accent.

Below the companion-specific tours, you'll find platform-wide guides under "Other Guides." These cover things like your dashboard, wallet, and other areas of the app. You can launch any of these tours from any page — Aura will navigate you to the right place automatically.

Replaying tours

You can replay any tour at any time. Just click the Guides button in the header and pick the tour you want to run again. This is handy if you want a refresher or if you skipped through something too quickly the first time.

Look for the purple Guides button in the top-left area of the header whenever you want to launch or replay a walkthrough.

Shared companion pages

If you're viewing a shared companion page (and you're not signed in), you'll see a single Guide button instead of the full dropdown. Clicking it launches a walkthrough specifically for the shared companion experience.

Tips

  • Tours work best on a desktop or laptop screen. On mobile, the highlights still work but the experience is optimized for larger displays.
  • If a tour seems to get stuck, try refreshing the page and launching it again from the Guides dropdown.
  • Tours are purely visual and informational — they don't change any of your settings or data.
