Data Tab
Teach your companion what it needs to know.
The Data tab is where you give your companion the information it needs to have great conversations. Think of it as your companion's brain - the more you feed it, the smarter and more helpful it becomes.
The tab has three sections:
- Knowledge - Quick facts and information organized into sections (like an FAQ)
- Links - External URLs your companion can reference and share in conversations
- Resources - Documents, videos, and images you upload for your companion to learn from
When you select Data in the profile's top tab bar, these three sections appear as sub-tabs inline, directly to the right of the Data tab, as a segmented pill control. Switch between Knowledge, Links, and Resources without leaving the page - the active sub-tab is also written to the URL (?tab=data&dataTab=knowledge, links, or resources), so you can bookmark or share a link straight to a specific sub-tab.

Add custom facts and information your companion can use.
AI Knowledge Generation
Automatically generate knowledge from your uploaded resources.
Links
Add external links your companion can reference and share.
Resources
Upload documents, videos, and images. Documents are parsed, videos are transcribed, and images are analyzed with AI vision - all becoming part of your companion's knowledge.
Knowledge vs. Resources - Knowledge sections are quick facts you type in manually (great for FAQs and key details). Resources are files you upload - documents are parsed, videos are transcribed, and images are analyzed with AI vision - that the companion processes and learns from in depth. Both work together to make your companion smarter - use Knowledge for bite-sized facts and Resources for in-depth material.
Edits across all three sub-tabs share the same save behavior as the rest of the profile: nothing is written until you save, a ⌘S / Esc save bar appears whenever you have unsaved changes, and Aura keeps a local draft so you can pick up where you left off if you navigate away.
