Shared Companion Page

What visitors see when opening a shared companion link.

When someone shares a companion link with you, clicking it takes you to the shared companion page. This is a public page -- you don't need an Aura account to view it.

What you'll see

The shared companion page shows the companion's chat interface, similar to what signed-in users see. You can:

  • See the companion's name and avatar
  • Read the companion's description and any introductory message
  • Chat with the companion directly, even without signing in

Chatting without an account

One of the great things about shared companions is that anyone can try them out. Just type a message and start chatting. The companion responds just like it would for a signed-in user.

However, without an account:

  • Your chat history won't be saved between sessions
  • You won't be able to save the companion to your collections
  • Some features available to signed-in users may not be accessible

Social sharing metadata

When a shared companion link is posted on social media or in a messaging app, it shows a rich preview with:

  • The companion's name as the title
  • The companion's description as the subtitle
  • The companion's avatar or carousel image as the preview image

This makes shared links look great when posted on platforms like WhatsApp, Twitter/X, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

If you enjoy chatting with a shared companion, consider signing up for an Aura account. With an account, you can save companions, access your chat history, and discover more companions to explore.
