Referral Landing Page
What referred users see when they follow a referral link.
When someone shares their referral link with you and you click it, you'll land on a special referral page designed to welcome you to Aura.
What you'll see (if you're not signed in)
The referral landing page shows:
- The referrer's information -- their first name, organization name, and profile picture (if available)
- The credit reward -- how many credits both you and the referrer will earn (typically 50 credits each)
- A Sign Up button that takes you to the sign-up page with the referral code pre-filled
- A Sign In button if you already have an account
The page has rich social sharing metadata, so when the referral link is shared on social media or messaging apps, it shows a preview with the referrer's name and a personalized invitation message.
What happens if you're already signed in
If you click a referral link while already logged into Aura, you're handled automatically:
- Valid referral -- you're redirected to your Wallet page with the referral code ready to apply
- Self-referral -- if you try to use your own referral link, you're redirected to the Referrals tab with a notice
- Already referred -- if you've already been referred by someone, you're redirected with an "already used" notice
- Invalid code -- if the referral code doesn't exist, you're redirected to the home page
How the reward works
Once you sign up through a referral link:
- A referral cookie is saved so the code survives the sign-up flow (including OAuth redirects)
- After your account is created, both you and the referrer receive 50 credits each
- The credits appear in your Wallet immediately
Each account can only use one referral code. If someone has already referred you, trying a second referral link will show a notice that you've already been referred.
