Interaction Trends
How conversation volume and composition change over time.
The Interaction Trends chart plots conversation volume over your selected date range, and lets you break that volume down by category to see how the mix of conversations is shifting, not just the total count.
What you see
A time-series chart (switch between area, bar, and line views) with a Group by control that changes what the color segments represent:
| Group by | What each segment shows |
|---|---|
| Intent | The top 5 conversation intents by volume (troubleshooting, general inquiry, feature request, complaint, setup help, pricing, and so on). |
| Sentiment | Positive / neutral / negative split over time. |
| Resolution | Resolved / unresolved / escalated split over time. |
A pill legend sits above the chart — click any pill to focus on just that series, or click "All Sessions" to reset. Hovering a point shows the exact date, total session count, and the per-series breakdown.
How to use this
- Switch to Resolution grouping to see whether your escalation or unresolved rate is trending in the wrong direction over time, rather than just checking the current snapshot on Resolution Rate.
- Switch to Intent grouping around a product launch or pricing change to see whether conversation topics shift the way you'd expect.
- A volume spike with no corresponding change in User Sentiment or Resolution Rate is usually healthy growth; a spike paired with a dip in either is worth investigating right away.
