Interaction Trends
Conversation activity over time across all your companions.
The Interaction Trends card shows you how conversation activity changes over time across your entire organization. It helps you spot patterns, identify busy periods, and understand the impact of launches or changes.
Grouping options
You can group the data by different dimensions to see your trends from various angles:
| Group by | What you see |
|---|---|
| Intent | Conversations broken down by what visitors were trying to accomplish. |
| Sentiment | Conversations broken down by whether visitors felt positive, neutral, or negative. |
| Resolution | Conversations broken down by whether they were resolved, escalated, or unresolved. |
Chart styles
Switch between three chart types depending on what's easiest to read:
- Area chart — Filled areas that stack to show total volume and composition.
- Bar chart — Side-by-side bars for easy comparison between categories.
- Line chart — Clean lines that make trends and inflection points easy to spot.
Time periods
The time grouping (daily, weekly, monthly) adjusts automatically based on the date range you've selected for the dashboard. A short range shows daily data; a longer range rolls up into weeks or months.
What to look for
- Spikes after a product launch, marketing campaign, or content update tell you those efforts are driving engagement.
- Consistent growth in conversation volume means your companions are becoming more central to your visitor experience.
- Drops might indicate a technical issue, or that visitors found what they needed and don't need to come back as often.
- Grouping by Sentiment over time helps you see whether changes you've made to your companions are improving the visitor experience.
