Training Tokens

How many tokens have been consumed turning your resources into knowledge.

The Training Tokens card mirrors Storage: a donut breakdown of tokens used against your limit.

What you see

  • A donut chart of tokens used, broken down by resource type: Document, Video, and Image, plus the unused Free portion.
  • The used percentage and a body message once you're over your limit: further ingestion is refused until the ceiling is raised.
  • Any tokens the typed breakdown can't account for against the total counter show up as unaccounted-for rather than being dropped silently.

Per-companion token ceilings are now fixed at 1M tokens regardless of plan — the plan instead governs your organization-wide total. The full accounting model is covered separately in the Billing section of these docs.

What consumes training tokens

Every resource you upload and process — documents, video transcripts and metadata, and analyzed images — consumes tokens proportional to its size and complexity. A long PDF uses more tokens than a short one.

How to use this

  • Deleting a resource frees the tokens it consumed, so removing outdated content is a direct way to reclaim headroom.
  • If you're close to your limit, prioritize keeping the resources that matter most to your companion's answers rather than everything you've ever uploaded.
  • On the org-wide Dashboard, check Companion Performance to see which companion is consuming the most tokens.
