Product & Companion Analytics

Sales signals, knowledge gaps, product insights, and recommended actions.

The Product & Companion Analytics cards surface business intelligence hidden in conversations -- buying signals, knowledge gaps, product feedback, and actionable recommendations. These cards appear in Rows 2--3 of the Companion Insights Analytics tab.

Sales Signals

The Sales Signals card (Row 2) tracks commercial intent in conversations. It shows:

  • Buying intent distribution — a donut chart showing how many conversations have none, low, medium, or high buying intent.
  • Conversion opportunities — the number of conversations where a sales moment was detected.
  • Opportunities — actionable steps the creator can take to convert visitors (e.g., follow up with pricing details, offer a demo, address a specific hesitation).

This card only appears when your companion handles conversations with detectable buying signals. If all conversations are support-related with no buying signals, the card is hidden.

Sales Signals is exclusive to Companion Insights. It does not appear on the organization-level Dashboard Analytics.

What to do with this

If you see high buying intent but low resolution rates, your companion may need better product information or a clearer path to purchase. Consider adding pricing details, comparison guides, or a handoff to your sales team.

Knowledge Gaps

The Knowledge Gaps information is surfaced through the Product Insights card. Each gap shows:

  • Gap description — what information is missing.
  • Frequency — how many conversations encountered this gap.
  • Impact — the average resolution score for conversations with this gap. Red indicates the gap is actively hurting outcomes.

What to do with this

Prioritize gaps with high frequency AND low resolution scores -- those are costing you the most. Upload resources or add knowledge sections to fill them.

Product Insights

The Product Insights card (Row 3) surfaces product feedback and feature requests extracted from conversations. Each insight shows:

  • Type — feature request, bug report, or general feedback.
  • Description — what the user said or implied.
  • Frequency — how many conversations mentioned this insight.

This is a direct window into what your users want, without needing surveys. Product Insights also appears on the Dashboard Analytics tab, aggregated across all companions.

The Recommended Actions card (Row 3) provides AI-generated suggestions for improving your companion, prioritized by impact. Each action shows:

  • Owner — who should take the action (creator, sales, support, or product).
  • Priority — high, medium, or low urgency.
  • Action — what specifically to do.
  • Expected impact — what improves if you take the action.

Actions are sorted by priority (high first), then frequency. Focus on high-priority creator-owned actions first -- those are changes you can make directly.

Recommended Actions is exclusive to Companion Insights. It does not appear on the organization-level Dashboard Analytics.
