Visitor Traffic
Track who's visiting your companion and when.
The Analytics tab includes two cards that help you understand where your visitors are coming from and what devices they are using.
Geographic Distribution
The Session Locations card shows a world map with your visitors highlighted by country. Darker-shaded countries have more visitors. Below the map you will see a count of how many total sessions came from each region.
This helps you understand your companion's global reach. If you notice a lot of traffic from a specific country, you might want to adjust your companion's language or knowledge to better serve that audience.
Device Analytics
The Device Analytics card shows two views you can switch between:
- Devices -- A donut chart showing the split between desktop, mobile, and tablet visitors. Each slice shows the percentage and count.
- OS -- The same donut chart, but grouped by operating system (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux, etc.).
Use this to understand how visitors are accessing your companion. If most visitors are on mobile, make sure your companion's responses work well for smaller screens and shorter attention spans.
Reading the charts
Both charts use a donut style with hover labels. Hover over any slice to see the exact count and percentage. The data comes from the same date range set at the top of the Analytics tab.
