Avatar
Upload and edit your companion's profile picture.
The avatar is your companion's profile picture -- the visual identity that users see on companion cards, in the chat interface, and on the public sharing page. A good avatar makes your companion feel more real and trustworthy.
Uploading an Avatar
Choose Your Image
In the Appearance section of the Persona tab, hover over the avatar area. A floating toolbar will appear with three buttons: Upload, Edit & Crop, and Remove.
Click the Upload button (the up arrow icon) and select an image from your device.
Crop and Adjust
After selecting an image, the Image Editor opens automatically. Here you can:
- Crop the image by dragging the selection area
- Choose an aspect ratio from the preset buttons:
- 1:1 -- Square (great for profile pictures)
- 4:5 -- Portrait
- 3:4 -- Slightly taller portrait
- 16:9 -- Wide/landscape
- Free -- No constraints, crop however you like
- Drag to reposition the crop area
- Resize using the corner handles
Apply
When you are happy with the crop, click Apply. The image will be set as your companion's avatar. Remember to save your companion's settings for the change to take effect.
Editing an Existing Avatar
If you already have an avatar and want to adjust the cropping:
- Hover over the avatar area
- Click the Edit & Crop button (the pencil icon)
- The Image Editor will open with your current avatar loaded
- Adjust the crop and click Apply
Removing an Avatar
To go back to the default placeholder:
- Hover over the avatar area
- Click the Remove button (the trash icon)
Where Your Avatar Appears
- On the companion card on your Home page
- In the chat interface when users talk to your companion
- In the carousel gallery as the first (pinned) image
- In share previews when your companion's link is shared on social media
Images must be under 2 MB. For best results, use a square image with a clear subject. The image will be displayed at various sizes across the platform.
