Skills
Enable special abilities like web search, media display, and more.
The Skills section lets you turn on or off special abilities that your companion can use during conversations. Each skill gives your companion a new capability. All four skills are enabled by default when you create a new companion.
Available Skills
Smart Search
"Look up answers from your knowledge base"
When enabled, your companion can search through your uploaded resources, knowledge sections, and data to find accurate answers. This is the core skill that lets your companion draw on everything you have taught it.
Rich Media
"Show images, videos, and documents in chat"
When enabled, your companion can display images, videos, and other media directly in the conversation. This is great for product showcases, tutorials, or any time a visual answer is better than a text-only one.
Multilingual
"Let users switch languages anytime"
When enabled, users can ask your companion to switch to a different language during the conversation. The companion will continue the conversation in the new language. Without this skill, the companion will only use its default language.
Auto Close
"Wrap up when the conversation is over"
When enabled, your companion can gracefully end a conversation when it detects that the user is done. It will wrap up with a closing message rather than leaving the chat hanging indefinitely.
How to Toggle Skills
Each skill is shown as a card with a checkbox. Click anywhere on the card or directly on the checkbox to turn a skill on or off.

- Disabled skills appear dimmed and unchecked
Default Reply (Fallback Message)
In the Expression section (also on the Behaviour tab), you will find the Default Reply field. This is what your companion says when it encounters a question it cannot answer with its available skills and knowledge.
The default is: "I don't have an answer for that right now. Please reach out to our team for more help."
You can customize this, choose from preset suggestions, or use AI to generate one. This setting works alongside the skills -- it is the safety net for when all skills come up empty.
Disabling a skill means your companion simply will not use that capability. It does not remove any data -- your resources and knowledge stay intact. You can re-enable any skill at any time.
