Quick Start Prompts

Quick Starts are pre-written messages that appear as clickable buttons when a user opens a conversation with your companion. They give users an easy way to jump into a conversation without having to think of what to say first.

What Users See

When a user starts a new chat, they see a set of clickable prompts below the companion's greeting message. Each prompt has a title (the main text) and optionally a short description underneath. Clicking a prompt sends it as the user's first message, kicking off the conversation immediately.

Managing Prompts

Adding a Quick Start Prompt

1. Click the + Add button in the Quick Starts section header
2. A modal opens where you can fill in:
   • Title -- The main prompt text that users will see and click (e.g., "Help me choose a product")
   • Description -- An optional subtitle that gives more context (e.g., "Get personalized recommendations based on your needs")
3. Click Save to add the prompt

Editing a Prompt

Click the edit button on any existing prompt to open the editor. Update the title or description and save.

Removing a Prompt

Click the remove button on any prompt to delete it immediately.

Limits

You can add up to 6 quick start prompts. A counter in the header (e.g., "2/6") shows how many you have used. When you reach the limit, the Add button disappears.

Tips for Great Prompts

• Cover common use cases -- Think about the top reasons people will chat with your companion and make prompts for each
• Be specific, not vague -- "Track my order" is better than "Help me"
• Use action words -- Start with verbs like "Find," "Help," "Tell me about," "Compare"
• Add descriptions -- A short description helps users understand what will happen when they click
• Keep titles short -- They should be scannable at a glance
