Session Stats

View conversation counts, durations, and trends.

The User Engagement card is the first card in the Engagement tab's summary row. It gives you a quick snapshot of how much activity your companion is getting.

What you will see

Total sessions

The big number at the top shows how many total chat sessions happened during the selected time period. A session is one complete conversation between a visitor and your companion.

Session sparkline

Below the total sessions number, a small trend line (sparkline) shows how session volume changed over time during your selected date range. An upward trend means your companion is getting busier; a flat or downward trend might mean traffic is leveling off.

At the bottom of the card, three stats give you more context:

  • Engagement Time -- The total amount of time visitors spent chatting with your companion across all sessions. Shown in a human-readable format (e.g., "2h 15m" or "45m").
  • Avg Rating -- The average star rating visitors gave after their conversations. Shown as a number out of 5 with a star icon. If no ratings have been given yet, this shows a dash.
  • Avg Duration -- The average length of a single session. Short averages (under a minute) might mean visitors are getting quick answers. Longer averages could mean more in-depth conversations.

Changing the date range

Click the date button in the top-right corner of this card to pick a different time period. The session count, sparkline, and all footer stats will update to reflect your selection.

The engagement card has its own date range, separate from the visitor table below it. This lets you compare different time periods independently.
