Guide Engagement
Guide activity and performance metrics across all your companions.
The Guide Engagement card gives you an organization-wide view of how your guided experiences are performing. All metrics are aggregated across every companion that has guides enabled.
What you see
The card displays three key metrics:
- Total Guide Runs — the total number of times visitors have started a guide across all your companions. A sparkline next to this number shows the trend over time.
- Total Guide Duration — the combined time visitors have spent going through your guides. This tells you how much attention your guided content is receiving overall.
- Average Rating — the average star rating visitors have given after completing a guide. This is your best measure of whether your guides are actually helpful.
Why this matters
- If guide runs are trending upward, your guided experiences are gaining traction — visitors are finding them and choosing to use them.
- A high average rating alongside growing run counts means your guides are both discoverable and effective.
- If total guide duration is increasing but the run count is flat, your guides may be getting longer or visitors are spending more time on each step — worth checking whether that is intentional.
- Compare this card with Chat Engagement to understand how visitors split their time between free-form chat and structured guides.
