Profile Settings
Update your name, email, avatar, and personal details.
The Profile Settings page is where you manage the personal information tied to your Aura account. To get here, open the Profile Menu (click your avatar in the sidebar) and select Account Management.
What you'll see
The page has a purple gradient header with the title "Profile Settings" and a close button that takes you back to the previous page. Below the header, your avatar sits on the left side, overlapping the header for a nice visual effect.
Your avatar
Your profile picture appears as a large circle on the left.
- Change your avatar -- hover over the circle and click the camera icon that appears. Choose an image file from your device.
- Remove your avatar -- when you have a picture set, a small red delete button appears at the bottom-right corner of the avatar circle. Click it to remove the picture.
- File size limit -- your avatar image must be under 1 MB. If you pick something larger, you'll see an error message.
Form fields
Here's every field on the profile form:
Full Name
Your display name across Aura. This is required -- you can't leave it blank. Maximum 30 characters.
Username
Your unique username (shown with an @ symbol). This field is read-only and cannot be changed after account creation. It appears with a gray background to indicate it's locked.
Contact Number
An optional 10-digit phone number. Only numbers are allowed -- any non-numeric characters are automatically stripped out. If you enter fewer than 10 digits, the field will show an error until you complete it or clear it.
Email Address
Your account email. This field is read-only and cannot be changed from this page. A green checkmark appears if your email is verified, or an amber warning icon if it hasn't been verified yet.
Timezone
A searchable dropdown with all available timezones. Start typing to filter the list, or scroll through to find yours. Your timezone is used for displaying dates and times throughout Aura.
About
A free-text area where you can write a short bio about yourself. Maximum 2,000 characters. This appears on your public profile if you have one.
Saving changes
At the bottom of the form, you'll find two buttons:
- Save Changes -- saves all your updates. This button is disabled until you actually change something. While saving, it shows "Saving..." and a loading toast appears.
- Cancel -- resets all fields back to their last saved values. Also disabled when there are no unsaved changes.
Changes to your profile are reflected immediately across the app -- your name and avatar will update in the sidebar, profile menu, and anywhere else they appear.
