Share Modal

Share companions and profiles with QR codes and social links.

The Share Modal gives you multiple ways to share a companion or profile with others. You'll find share buttons throughout Aura -- on companion profiles, your public profile, and other shareable pages.

What's inside the modal

When you open the Share Modal, you'll see several sections:

QR Code

A scannable QR code is generated for the share link. Anyone can point their phone camera at it to open the link directly.

  • Download as SVG -- click the download button below the QR code to save it as an SVG image file. You can use this in presentations, print materials, or anywhere else.

Social sharing buttons

A row of social media buttons lets you share with one click:

  • WhatsApp -- opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message containing your link
  • X (Twitter) -- opens a tweet composer with the link and title
  • Facebook -- opens the Facebook share dialog
  • LinkedIn -- opens the LinkedIn share dialog
  • Email -- opens your email client with the link in the body

Each button is styled with the platform's brand color for easy recognition.

A Copy button copies the share URL to your clipboard. After clicking, it briefly shows a checkmark to confirm. There's also an Open button (external link icon) that opens the shared page in a new browser tab.

Visibility toggle

Some share modals include a visibility toggle at the top. This controls whether the companion or page is publicly accessible:

  • Live (toggle on) -- the link is active and anyone with it can view the content. The QR code, social buttons, and copy link all work normally.
  • Offline (toggle off) -- the content is private. When offline:
    • The QR code is blurred out and can't be scanned
    • Social sharing buttons are disabled
    • The copy link and open buttons are disabled
    • A message indicates the content isn't publicly accessible

Changing the visibility toggle updates the companion's public status in real time.

The visibility toggle only appears when the share modal is opened from a context where you own the content (like your own companion). When viewing someone else's shared content, you'll just see the sharing options.
