Understanding Companion Cards

What each element on a companion card means.

Every companion on the Explore page is shown as a card. Here's what each part of the card tells you.

Card layout

Header area

  • Name — The companion's name, displayed in bold at the top left. Hover over it (or the whole card) and it highlights in indigo so you know it's clickable.
  • Save button — A heart icon in the top right corner. Click it to save the companion to a collection (see Saving Companions). If the companion is already saved, the heart appears filled in rose/pink.

Body area

  • Avatar — A square image on the left side representing the companion. This is set by the creator.
  • Description — A short summary to the right of the avatar explaining what the companion does. If the description is long, it's trimmed to four lines with the rest hidden.

The footer sits below a thin divider line and shows quick stats:

  • Chats badge — A small indigo pill showing how many chat sessions this companion has had (e.g., "42 Chats").
  • Rating — The companion's average rating displayed as a number with a gold star icon (e.g., "4.2").
  • Last updated — A relative timestamp on the right side showing when the companion was last updated (e.g., "3d ago", "2mo ago").

Opening a companion

Click anywhere on the card to open the companion and start chatting. If you're not signed in, a prompt will appear asking you to sign in or create a free account first.
