Browsing Updates
Explore new features, improvements, and fixes.
The updates page has a clean layout with a hero section, a sticky toolbar for filtering, and a grid of update cards.
Hero section
At the top of the page, you'll see:
- A large "What's New" heading
- A subtitle: "The latest features, improvements, and fixes from the Aura team"
- A Subscribe button (more on that in Subscribing to Updates)
Filtering and search
Categories
The sticky toolbar below the hero has category filter chips. Click any chip to filter updates to just that category. Click All to see everything again.
The available categories are:
- New Feature (rocket icon) -- brand new capabilities added to Aura
- Improvement (lightbulb icon) -- enhancements to existing features
- Bug Fix (bug icon) -- issues that have been resolved
- Security (shield icon) -- security-related updates and patches
- Deprecation (clock icon) -- features being phased out or replaced
Each category chip shows its icon and uses a distinct color when selected. Only one category can be active at a time.
Search
On the left side of the toolbar, there's a search bar. Type to filter the current page of updates by title, description, or version number. The search works instantly as you type -- no need to press Enter. Click the X button inside the search field to clear your query.
Update cards
Updates appear in a responsive grid:
- 1 column on mobile
- 2 columns on small screens
- 3 columns on medium screens
- 4 columns on large screens
- 5 columns on extra-large screens
Each card shows:
- Title -- the name of the update
- Description -- a brief summary (a few lines)
- Category badge -- the colored category label with its icon
- Date -- when the update was published
- Version (if provided) -- the associated version number
Click any card to open the full detail view, where you can read the complete update with all its content.
Pagination
If there are more than 24 updates, pagination controls appear at the bottom of the grid:
- Previous / Next arrow buttons
- Numbered page buttons -- with ellipsis (...) for large page ranges
- The current page is highlighted in indigo
Switching pages scrolls you back to the top of the page automatically.
Empty states
If no updates match your current filter or search:
- A friendly icon and "No updates found" message appears
- If you were searching, it shows "No results for [your query]"
- If you were filtering by category, it says "No updates in this category yet"
