Browsing Updates

Explore new features, improvements, and fixes.

The updates page shows a timeline of product announcements from the Aura team, organized by month with powerful filtering and search.

Hero Section

At the top of the page, you'll see:

  • A large "What's New" heading
  • A subtitle: "The latest features, improvements, and fixes from the Aura team"
  • A Subscribe button (more on that in Subscribing to Updates)

Categories

Below the hero, a category filter lets you select one or more categories at once using checkboxes. Click All to see everything, or select individual categories to narrow down:

  • New Feature (rocket icon) -- brand new capabilities added to Aura
  • Improvement (lightbulb icon) -- enhancements to existing features
  • Bug Fix (bug icon) -- issues that have been resolved
  • Security (shield icon) -- security-related updates and patches
  • Deprecation (clock icon) -- features being phased out or replaced

You can select multiple categories at the same time to see updates from several types at once.

Timeline Presets

Quick date filters let you jump to common time ranges:

  • All -- every update ever published
  • Last 30 days -- updates from the past month
  • This quarter -- updates from the current quarter
  • This year -- updates from the current year

A search bar filters updates by title, description, or version number. The search runs server-side, so it works across all updates -- not just the ones currently loaded on screen.

Timeline Tree View

Updates are organized into a monthly timeline. Each month appears as a collapsible section with:

  • A month and year heading (e.g. "May 2026")
  • A vertical timeline line connecting update entries within that month
  • Each entry shows its title, category badges (colour-coded), and relative date

Click any entry to open the full detail view with the complete update content.

Infinite Scroll

Instead of traditional pagination, the updates page uses infinite scroll. As you scroll down, more updates load automatically. The initial load shows up to 50 updates, and each subsequent batch loads 20 more.

A loading skeleton appears at the bottom while new updates are being fetched.

Empty States

If no updates match your current filter or search:

  • A friendly icon and "No updates found" message appears
  • If you were searching, it shows "No results for [your query]"
  • If you were filtering by category, it says "No updates in this category yet"
