Notification Types

The different kinds of notifications you may receive.

Every notification in Aura has a type that determines its color and indicates what kind of event triggered it. Here's a breakdown of each type.

Success (green dot)

Something went well. These are positive confirmations.

Examples:

  • Your subscription was activated successfully
  • A credit top-up was processed
  • Your companion was published
  • A resource finished processing

Info (gray dot)

General information that doesn't require immediate action.

Examples:

  • A system maintenance window is scheduled
  • Your companion received its first chat
  • A new feature is available

Warning (amber dot)

Something needs your attention but isn't urgent yet. The dot is slightly larger than normal to draw your eye.

Examples:

  • Your subscription is expiring soon
  • Your credit balance is running low
  • A resource upload had a minor issue but still succeeded

Error (red dot)

Something went wrong and may need your action. Like warnings, the dot is slightly larger.

Examples:

  • A payment failed
  • A resource failed to process
  • Your subscription payment couldn't be collected

Promotion (purple dot)

Special offers, bonuses, or promotional messages from the Aura team.

Examples:

  • A limited-time credit bonus is available
  • A special discount on plan upgrades
  • A seasonal promotion or event

Update (global)

Product updates from the Aura team. These are global notifications -- they're sent to all users and have special behavior:

  • They cannot be deleted or archived
  • They can only be marked as read or unread
  • They don't have a checkbox in multi-select mode
  • They appear in every user's inbox

Examples:

  • A new feature was launched
  • An important bug fix was deployed
  • A security improvement was released

The colored dot next to each notification gives you a quick visual cue about what kind of message it is, even before you read the title.
