Browsing Chats
Navigate the chat list, filter by user, and find the conversations that matter.
When you open the Conversations tab for a companion, a sidebar on the left shows every chat that has taken place. Chats are grouped by time so you can quickly scan recent activity.
Chat List Layout
Each chat entry in the sidebar shows:
- User avatar and name -- if the user was logged in, you will see their profile picture and display name. Anonymous visitors appear with a generic icon.
- Date and time -- when the conversation started, displayed in your local timezone.
- Message count -- how many messages were exchanged (e.g., "12 messages").
- Star rating -- if the user left a rating, it appears as a star icon with the score.
Chats are automatically grouped into time-based sections:
- Today -- conversations from the current day
- Yesterday -- conversations from the previous day
- This Week -- earlier conversations from the current week
- This Month -- conversations from earlier in the month
- Older months -- grouped by month name and year (e.g., "March 2026")
Filtering by User
At the top of the chat list, there is a Filter by user search bar. This lets you narrow down the chat list to conversations from a specific person.
Start typing a name or email address, and a dropdown will appear showing matching users along with how many chats they have had with this companion. Select a user to see only their conversations.
To clear the filter and see all chats again, click the X button in the search bar.
Quick Access to Insights
At the very top of the chat list, you will find a link to the Insights Dashboard for this companion. Clicking it takes you straight to the full analytics view where you can see conversation volume, sentiment trends, and more.
Refreshing the List
If new conversations have come in since you opened the page, click the Refresh button (the circular arrow icon) in the top-right corner of the chat sidebar to reload the latest chats.
